Our acne program begins with an educational sit down visit with Christy, our acne specialist. She will go over everything you need to know to achieve clear skin. She will begin by discussing diet, vitamin supplements, skin care routine, including icing your acne, a printout of all pore clogging ingredients found in skin care products, make-up and hair products. A skin analysis will be done to determine your type and severity of acne. Christy will outline a customized plan just for you!

Expect to spend around $150 on your skincare, which will last 2-3 months.

During your consultation we will review your skin/health questionnaire and your skin will be evaluated, including a sensitivity test to determine the type of acne you have as well as in-clinic treatment options and your home care regimen. We will also review our Acne Boot Camp folder of information with you. This information includes lifestyle changes, pore clogging ingredients and much more!

*You must be off of Accutane® for at least 90 days, and/or off of any prescription topical and all other acne meds for at least two weeks before you can begin the program.

What causes acne?

Acne is caused by a build up of dead skin cells along with inflammation and family inheritance. Acne is triggered by certain foods, vitamins, hormones, product ingredients and more.

Does diet affect or cause acne?

Yes, diet can worsen or trigger acne and excess oil production. Dairy is the most common contributor to acne along with soy, kelp, and foods with corn oil. Schedule a Clear Skin Acne Visit for a full list of acne contributing foods.

Are products labeled non-comedogenic really safe for acne?

No, unfortunately, the FDA does not regulate comedogenicity in the United States. As a consumer you must learn to read the ingredients on the label. In my Clear Skin Acne consultation I give a full list of pore clogging ingredients.
